On 2 July 2026, in the historic halls of Castello Mackenzie in Genoa, Cambi Casa d’Aste will present its highly anticipated Old Masters sale, dedicated to important works on paper and Old Master paintings from Italy and across Europe, dating from the sixteenth to the early nineteenth century. The auction will be conducted in two sessions, at 2:30 p.m. (lots 1–90) and 4:00 p.m. (lots 100–231), and will feature a selection of more than two hundred works from distinguished private collections, including paintings and drawings.
The catalogue offers a fascinating journey through some of the most important artistic centres and schools of Europe, ranging from the Venetian and Emilian traditions to Caravaggesque naturalism, Roman vedutismo, and the Flemish and Northern European schools. Together, these works testify to the extraordinary richness of the Western artistic heritage and to the enduring dialogue between patronage, devotion and artistic innovation that shaped the golden centuries of Italian and European painting.
