Comprising a range of glass blocks painstakingly arranged by hand one-by-one, Minosse recalls the labyrinthine geome- tries of mythic palaces belong- ing to ancient civilizations. The glass brick structure of the throne is a reference to the architectural composition of the palace of Knossos in Crete, which was the main room of
the Mycenae’s king. The bright colours on the surface of the throne are an interpretation of the colourful frescoes found in the room during archaeolog- ical excavations. The throne pushes the boundaries of glass manipulation, transforming the the material into a white can- vas upon which the paint is applied by hand.
