Enzo Pregno

Enzo Pregno was born in Cairo in 1898 to Italian parents and moved to Italy as a young man. His artistic career developed mainly in Florence, where he lived until his death in 1936. Pregno is known for his delicate and reserved painting style, avoiding strict labels and definitions, expressing a unique artistic sensitivity. His works often feature subjects such as still lifes, landscapes, and urban scenes, executed with techniques like oil on canvas and etching. Despite his reserved nature, his talent was recognized and appreciated in the Italian art scene of the early twentieth century. His works are currently featured in art auctions, particularly at the Cambi auction house, which manages their appraisal and sale. Pregno left a significant mark on Italian painting, with an artistic language combining delicacy and emotional depth.
