Gabriele Arruzzo

Gabriele Arruzzo is a contemporary artist born in Rome in 1976. After living in the capital until 1980, he moved to Pesaro, his mother's hometown, where he currently lives and works. His artistic production is characterized by an original and personal use of visual material, combining elements drawn from art history, such as engravings and miniatures, with a modern and theatrical approach. His works often explore profound and complex themes like the apocalypse, devotion, and suffering, represented through iconic figures that recall classical religious iconoclasm and the tensions of sixteenth-century engravers.

Arruzzo has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, including "Hortus Conclusus" (2007) in Turin and "Personal Jesus" (2006). His art has been presented in important galleries and museums, and his works are frequently auctioned, especially at Cambi Casa d'Aste in Milan.
