Massimo and Lella Vignelli were two of the most influential designers of the 20th century. Born in Italy, the couple moved to the United States in the 1960s and quickly made a name for themselves in the world of design.

Massimo Vignelli was known for his minimalist approach to design, which he applied to everything from logos and packaging to furniture and architecture. He believed that good design should be timeless, functional, and beautiful, and he was famous for his use of simple geometric shapes and bold, bright colors.

Lella Vignelli was equally talented, and together the couple founded Vignelli Associates, a design firm that worked with some of the biggest names in business and industry. They designed everything from corporate identities and product packaging to interior spaces and furniture, and their work was characterized by its clean lines, bold typography, and attention to detail.

Over the course of their long and illustrious careers, Massimo and Lella Vignelli won countless awards and accolades for their work. They were inducted into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame, received the National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement, and were even honored with a postage stamp featuring their iconic New York City subway map.
