Vico Magistretti was one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. Born in Milan in 1920, he studied architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, where he developed a passion for design.

One of his most famous designs is the Carimate chair, which he created for the Hotel Carimate in Lombardy in 1959. The chair became an icon of Italian design and won numerous awards.
