L’elefante in bronzo rimanda alla iconografia di cultura malatestiana, di cui l’animale era simbolo, come vorrebbero indicare le scritte sul basamento probabilmente non pertinenti. L’opera comunque appartiene ad una produzione tardo cinquecentesca documentata sia in Italia che in Germania
