Provenienza: Sothebys NY, 22-05-1992, lotto numero 267 Galleria Mossini Mantova. Paulus Moreelse fu un pittore ed architetto di Utrecht, viaggiò in Italia negli anni a cavallo tra il cinque e il seicento e si specializzo nella ritrattistica dove mostrò accanto ad una accuratezza di dettaglio anche linee sempre molto morbide.
