NOTE: The watch offered here for sale is a highly attractive example of a Submariner reference 5513 from the 1960s. The attentive observer will notice the small silvered line underneath the designation Oyster Perpetual. It is thought that Rolex produced such underline dials to indicate to use of tritium only around 1963-1964, presumably on watches bearing serial numbers ranging from 950’000 to 1’100’000 These dials were characterized by a small silvered line underneath the designation Submariner or the word Oyster Perpetual.
