Rolex, Ref. 2508, Yellow Gold, Multiscale.
Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with olive button chronograph, 30-minute register, telemeter and tachometre. Made circa 1930.
Dial, case and movement signed, in good condition
NOTE: Reference 2508 was introduced to the market in the mid-1930's as the company's first chronograph wristwatch with two registers and two buttons. The first generation featured oval chronograph as the present example, while later generations, featured rectangular buttons. It is also important to note that the lugs are fixed to the case, which is correct for these early examples.
Different versions of the reference 2508 are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pages 80-91.
