La prova, nitida e contrastata, nel II stato di 2 col monogramma di Durer e le rotture nella linea marginale, è impressa su carta avente filigrana Croce su tre monti nel Cerchio, databile al 1566. L'opera, eseguita verosimilmente a Norimberga, è stata ricondotta da Bartsch alla bottega di Durer.
