La prova, contrastata e nitida, edita nel terzo stato di 3 da Marco Paluzzi, stampatore a Roma verso il 1550, è impresso su carta databile alla metà del Cinquecento. Il soggetto è tratto da un disegno di Raffaello per l'affresco eseguito dall'allievo Giulio Romano intorno al 1516, sulla parete della Stufetta del Cardinal Bibbiena.
