An extraordinary auction, in collaboration with Crippa Numismatica, which will offer a selection of high quality coins from the House of Savoy and the Papal State.
As for the House of Savoy [lots 1-27], the proposal will focus on coins, including the prestigious large gold modules, minted from the mid-15th to the mid-17th century, during the reigns of Dukes Ludovico I, Carlo I, Emanuele Filiberto, Carlo Emanuele I, Vittorio Amedeo I, the regencies of Cristina di Borbone for her sons Francesco Giacinto and Carlo Emanuele II, of Maria Giovanna Battista of Savoy Nemours for Vittorio Amedeo II and the very rare regency of Carlo Emanuele II with his uncles Maurizio and Tommaso.
The papal coinage [lots 28-104] will retrace the years from the Avignonese pontificate of the antipope Clement VII (1378-1394) to the gold coins of Clement XII (1730-1740).
A total of 104 lots, mainly in gold, from the most important auctions and from prestigious commercial firms active from the 1930s to the 1970s.
