Lozhkin disegnò per Fabergé e per il Teatro Bolshoi, illustrando anche libri per bambini e nell'era sovietica curando il design di parate ed eventi. Nel 1942, accusato di propaganda antisovietica, fu arrestato e morì poco dopo in carcere senza processo. Fu riabilitato nel 1995.
