Italian coins from medieval, modern and contemporary mints, commemorative medals, foreign coins, decorations, paper money and numismatic books, which make this sale an interesting appointment for everyone, from the most expert collectors, to traders, to scholars, to Italian history enthusiasts and European.

In the first round, on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 in the morning, we find a beautiful collection of over 200 lots made up of coins and medals from the Kingdom of Naples and the two Sicilies, including a splendid golden salute from Charles of Anjou minted in the second mid-1200s and a very valuable plate from the Neapolitan Republic from 1799. Also in the auction is a fascinating collection of medals on artistic and theatrical subjects, among which a bronze plate depicting the opera singer Lina Cavalieri stands out, and an oval bronze medal golden, with the original case, dedicated by Gabriele D'Annunzio to the actress Eleonora Duse. Alongside these there is also a nucleus of 800 foreign coins, a collection of papal medals and coins made up of 350 pieces including a 1704 plate of Clement XI, and a large head also minted under his pontificate, perfectly preserved, which bears on the reverse a table full of coins chosen for the cover of the catalog of this first part of the auction.

Among the Top Lots of the first appointment, 100 Lire in gold of the Kingdom of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy, 1900-1946 (estimate 5,500.00 / 6,500.00 euros) and 5 lire of the Kingdom of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy, 1900-1946 which shows on the back a helmeted Italy with shield and olive branch on a spirited quadriga (estimate 4,500.00 / 6,500.00 euros).
