Digitrend was born from the pen of Joseph Bamat and its main feature are hours and minutes in lateral and vertical position compared to more traditional watches.
Its patent was filed in 1970 but its production began only after the presentation in Basel in 1976.
The Digitrend is in effect a "Driver’s Watch": an automotive driver’s watch, in fact its shape is designed as an advantageous solution for reading at the wheel.
The lateral and vertical position of its "screen" arises from the need to find an easy way to read the time driving sports cars without having to abandon the steering wheel or rotate the wrist.
