Released in 2006, the Patek Philippe World Time ref. 5130 replaced the previous ref. 5110 with some subtle updates. Considered by many collectors as one of the most beloved and practical timepieces, the Patek Philippe World Time has been launched in various metals, including yellow gold, white gold (like our lot), rose gold and platinum.

Most of the aesthetic remains similar to the previous model, the new ref. 5130 presents a 39.5 mm diameter case, to meet the contemporary demand for larger wristwatches. In addition, the main dial, featuring an elegant guilloché pattern, with the iconic ring-shaped hour hand, pays tribute to the historically important Patek Philippe World Time timepieces of the 1930s, such as ref. 605 HU.
