Before the holiday season, Cambi Auction House presents in the setting of Castello Mackenzie in Genoa five events dedicated to the finest collecting. Among them is an auction dedicated to Antique Rugs.

On Wednesday, December 20, at 11 a.m., the auction features a catalog of 168 lots among which the curious Senneh Horse Blanket, dating back to the second half of the 19th century and probably designed for a wedding ceremony (estimate: €2,000 - €2,400) stands out.

Among other items in the auction a Hushang Shan Kerman with figures of dignitaries (estimate: €3,000 - €4,000), a Kazak Karachop (estimate: €4,200 - €4. 600), a Hotan with gul decorations (estimate: €4,000 - €5,000), a Kazak Bordjalou (estimate: €6,000 - €8,000), a Zeicur specimen with the unique decoration of four "St. Andrew's cross" medallions on a white field (estimate: €7. 000 - €8,000) and a rare star-shaped Ushak from the early 18th century, with a pattern of polylobate medallions alternating with small rhomboidal medallions (estimate: €20,000 - €24,000).
