It's called Design 200 because there are 200 lots in the next Milanese event that Casa Cambi d'Aste offers to all lovers of designer design on Wednesday, October 18, at 3 p.m. A refined and restricted selection designed for collectors decorators and connoisseurs looking for unusual and decorative pieces.

A unique collection of furnishing objects, from tables to consoles, from chandeliers to wall sconces, from armchairs to chairs and, again, chests of drawers, bookcases, containers produced by the elite of the great national and international masters of the 20th century: Gio Ponti, Gae Aulenti, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Ilmari Tapiovaara, Max Ingrand and many others.

Among the top lots are six Africa model chairs produced in 1970 and signed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, one of the best-known couples in the history of design, not only Italian (estimate: € 10,000.00 / 20,000.00); two splendid armchairs (estimate: € 10,000.00 / 20,000.00) by Ignazio Gardella - Compasso d'Oro in 1955 and International Architecture Prize in 1960 - who, almost 15 years after his death, remains a point of reference and source of inspiration for young designers from all over the world.

By Max Ingrand, a French designer and artist (1908 - 1969), famous for his ability to create works of art and objects that combine functionality and aesthetics, no less than 16 productions are presented: floor and hanging lamps but also mirrors and mirrors. Remarkable is the hanging lamp made by Fontana Arte in 1960, with a brass frame with a curved satin-finished crystal screen and a spoked body in colored ground crystal (estimate: € 20,000.00 / 40,000.00).

Six lots bear Gae Aulenti's signature: splendid floor and table lamps such as the pair with four directional lights in lacquered aluminum model La Ruspa, made in 1968 (estimate: € 10,000.00 / 15,000.00) but also armchairs, a rare chaise longue and a table complete with four chairs (estimate: € 4,000.00 / 6,000.00).

Other iconic pieces include Gio Ponti's refined chest of drawers with wooden frame and brass support made in 1950 to an original design for the furnishings of the Hotel Royal in Naples (estimate: € 20,000.00 / 40. 000.00); the elegant and essential bookcase signed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, a master of Finnish design (estimate: € 8,000.00 / 10,000.00); and again, the very special snake model sofa by Marzio Cecchi, over 6 meters long and composed of 19 modules (estimate: € 10,000.00 / 20,000.00).

The lots will be on display at the maison's Milan headquarters on Friday, October 13, Saturday, October 14, Monday, October 16 and Tuesday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
