The Maison Tiffany & Co. in the mid-19th century established its own watch manufactory in Geneva, Switzerland, which remained open until the 1890s, then the company decided to specialize in the sale of jewelry, maintaining in some stores the marketing of Patek Philippe.
Tiffany continued its American rise by scoring phenomenal milestones in jewelry. In the latter part of the 19th century, the first collaborations with master watchmakers of the most important Swiss maisons such as: Rolex (as for our lot), Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Longines, and others. The very collaboration between Rolex and Tiffany was one of the most important and ended at the beginning of the new century.
