Cambi Auction House presents a valuable collection of antique silver objects and furnishings from Italy and abroad. Featured items include elegant tea services, refined candelabra, intricate trays and exquisite decorative objects, all expressions of the craftsmanship excellence and aesthetics of the period.

Among the lots of note is an exceptional meditation cross in malachite and silver, an extraordinary example of late Roman Baroque goldsmithing from the first half of the 18th century, made for Cardinal Francesco Barberini (Rome 1662-1738) that later belonged to the Bulgari collection and was published in the monographic work “ARGENTIERI, GEMMARI E ORAFI D'ITALIA” in 1980.

In the catalog, a pair of rare “crater” vases, a tribute to ancient classicism, of the refined Venetian production for civilian use of the first half of the 18th century and a rare pair of “panettone” candlesticks with Baroque decoration bearing the “Torretta ” mark dated 1732.

Also distinguished are two elegant Genoese torchon coffee pots from the sixth decade of the 18th century and two French Bull Dogs in silver, enamel, gold and precious stones attributable to the early 20th-century animalier production of the Fabergè atelier.
