Cambi Auction House inaugurates the new semester with design, starting with the Genovese Design Lab appointment with a large collection of quality furniture and carefully selected design elements.
Notable items include a pair of wall lamps model LP10, designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena in 1958. These lamps, with a brass frame and frosted glass diffusers, embody the elegance and functionality typical of Italian design in those years.
Another notable piece is an armchair by Gio Ponti, designed in 1956 for the furnishings of the Hotel Royal in Naples. With its wooden frame and fabric upholstery, this item reflects Ponti's attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The auction also includes a storage cabinet by Angelo Mangiarotti, made around 1960, and two Lilium model armchairs by Augusto Bozzi, produced by Saporiti in the same period. These pieces represent excellent examples of the functional and innovative design that made Italy famous throughout the world.
The collection also includes works by Fontana Arte, Stilux, Venini, Massimo and Lella Vignelli, James Riviere, and Ross Lovegrove, with estimates reflecting the historical and artistic importance of each object.
