Presented in 1939 and taken out of production in 1945, with the reference 3525 this model is the first Rolex chronograph to be equipped with a water-resistant Oyster case with a screw-down caseback.

The watch has been preserved in excellent condition, especially the very rare black dial, which is often ruined in watches of this era.
This rare configuration with a yellow gold case and black dial is one of the most prized by collectors.
