According to scholars, in 1958 Srul El Sabban (the Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia) allegedly ordered 50 pieces of a gold watch with Prince Faisal's effigy on the dial from Universal. These watches were not only a tribute to the symbol of the nation, His Majesty, but were also a precious gift for members of his armed forces and were not available to the public.
