Bellissima medaglia dedicata alle opere di fortificazione realizzate al porto e alla città di Civitavecchia. La rivoluzione francese infatti aveva aperto la strada ad un clima di incertezza internazionale e siccome l'aria della guerra aveva iniziato ad aleggiare in tutta Europa anche lo Stato Pontificio non poté esimersi dal riorganizzare e rafforzare le proprie difese.
