The lots in the catalogue come from the collection of Manlio and Raoul Cabib, two leading figures in the carpet trade in Genoa, known for their experience and for the quality of the works they have selected over the years.

On offer at the auction will be rare and extremely valuable pieces, authentic works of art created using precious techniques and materials, which tell of centuries of tradition and craftsmanship. The selection includes carpets from the most renowned weaving schools, each with its own distinctive character, decorative motifs and history.

Among the most important lots are magnificent Tabriz carpets, renowned for their finesse and decorative complexity, and an extraordinary 17th century Aubusson tapestry, the true jewel of this sale.
