The catalogue presents a fascinating journey through the evolution of taste and design: from the bold visions of Italian Design to the most refined international experiments, each piece in the auction bears witness to the innovative spirit and timeless beauty of authorial design.

Special attention is given to two significant groups within the sale. The first is dedicated to Gabriella Crespi, an undisputed icon of Italian design. Among the most anticipated lots is Lot 80, an extraordinary floor lamp from the Animali series, model Rana con Cardo. Crafted in bronze with a rattan and woven straw lampshade, signed and dated 1973, it comes from a private Roman collection. Estimate: €10,000.00 / 12,000.00.

Another prestigious group is devoted to Carlo Bugatti, a pioneer of the most eccentric and sophisticated cabinetmaking style. Of particular note is Lot 15, a rare storage cabinet dating to around 1900, in carved and ebonized wood, inlaid with metal and brass, with repoussé copper and bone applications, and parchment coverings. A museum-quality piece, it is offered with an estimate of €20,000.00 / 30,000.00.

Among the top lots of the auction are exceptional works for their provenance, uniqueness, and craftsmanship. Lot 31 features a wall sculpture by Osvaldo Borsani and Arnaldo Pomodoro, made of carved wood and cast bronze, created as a private commission for a Milanese residence. Estimate: €8,000.00 / 12,000.00.

Also of note is Lot 46, a refined Venini mirror from the 1960s, with a Murano glass frame and Millefiori Murrine inserts, estimated between €6,000.00 and €8,000.00. Lot 5 includes two elegant wall lamps, model 429, by Tomaso Buzzi, in Pulegoso Murano glass with gold leaf applications and brass structures, produced by Venini around the 1930s. Estimate: €2,000.00 / 4,000.00.

Completing the catalogue are masterpieces by some of the greatest names in Italian and international design: Gio Ponti, Carlo Scarpa, Pietro Chiesa, Paolo Buffa, Carlo Rizzarda, Guglielmo Ulrich, Max Ingrand, Giacomo Balla, Ettore Sottsass, to name just a few.
