More information
From the very beginning of the brand, one of the first timepieces that master watchmaker Daniel Roth chose to produce was a time-only watch with a tourbillon, a model that, over the years, has become the most recognizable and iconic among all his creations.
Reference 2187, in particular, is the first to feature the defining elements of the model: the tourbillon is positioned at six o’clock, while the upper part of the dial displays the hours and minutes.
A particularly interesting feature is found on the back of the watch, where a second dial indicates the power reserve and the date, in a regulator-style layout.
During his years at Breguet, where he played a key role in revitalizing the brand, Roth had the opportunity to study the tourbillon in depth through A.-L. Breguet’s original technical drawings. This experience sparked a deep passion for the complication, which would go on to become a cornerstone of his independent watchmaking.
As with all of Roth’s most iconic creations, the case is crafted in yellow gold and features the distinctive double-ellipse shape, an unmistakable signature of the brand.
