Con molta probabilità, tale firma fa riferimento alla nota famiglia di orologiai attiva a La Chaux-de-Fonds dal 1715, le cui innovazioni orologiere garantirono al suo fondatore, Josué Robert, il titolo di Orologiaio del Re e contribuirono a rendere La Chaux-de-Fonds un centro orologiero molto attivo tra il XVIII e il XIX secolo.
