More information
Reference 2021 is recognized as one of the first wrist chronographs produced by Rolex and, consequently, as one of the rarest.
In addition to the unusual feature of being a monopusher, a solution never adopted again by Rolex in subsequent years, the rarity of this watch lies primarily in its case material: stainless steel. Of the already very limited number of pieces produced, the majority were crafted in yellow gold, while only an extremely small number were made in steel.
The combination of the rare stainless steel case with the uncommon black dial makes this watch particularly unique, a charm further enhanced by the presence of the Bucherer’s signature on the dial.
Presented in exceptional condition, this lot represents an authentic testament not only to Rolex history but also to a period marked by numerous experiments and a constant drive for innovation.
