Liu Haisu (March 16, 1896 – August 7, 1994), originally named Liu Pan, had the courtesy name Jifang and the art name Haiweng (海翁, “Old Man of the Sea”). His studio names included Yihaitang (艺海堂, “Hall of the Sea of Art”) and Cuntiange (“Pavilion of Preserving Heaven”).
