This exceptional edition commemorates the Brazilian aviator and inventor Alberto Santos-Dumont, one of the pioneers of modern aviation who, in the early 20th century, expressed to Louis Cartier the difficulty of checking his pocket watch while flying. In 1904, Cartier created an innovative timepiece for him to wear on his wrist, naming it "Santos" in his honor.

The reference 1575 from the CPCP (Collection Privée Cartier Paris) presented here features a slim bezel that enhances the rosette guilloché dial, as well as the iconic exposed screws inspired by the Eiffel Tower. With a thickness of just 4,5 mm, it stands among the thinnest Cartier watches ever made, thanks to the Frédéric Piguet 021MC manual-winding caliber.
