More information
This splendid gold pocket watch bears witness to the close and privileged relationship that linked Patek Philippe to its most important retailers, among which F.W. Eisenhart stands out, active in Bern from 1926 and, about twenty years later, also in Interlaken.

As can be observed, the graphic layout of the white enamel dial overturns traditional hierarchies: the name of the retailer "F.W. Eisenhart, Berne-Interlaken" dominates the upper part of the dial, occupying the brand's customary position of honor, while the Maison's signature is unusually positioned at the bottom, curved above the small seconds counter at 6 o'clock.

Making the piece even more interesting is a singular chronological discrepancy: the movement's serial number places its original production between 1915 and 1920, but the Interlaken branch was opened only in 1948. It is therefore likely that, at the time of the order in the post-WWII period, Patek Philippe utilized an archive movement that had remained unsold during the era of the world conflicts.
