More information
Launched in 1970 and powered by a manual-winding Valjoux 7734 caliber, the Tudor Oysterdate is the brand's first chronograph, immediately becoming an icon thanks to its bold design and vibrant colors.

There are three variants of this first generation of chronographs: the reference 7031/0 presented here is characterized by a bezel featuring a black Plexiglas insert with a tachymeter scale graduated to 500 units.

The model's nickname, "Home Plate," derives from the unusual pentagonal hour markers, which precisely replicate the shape of the home plate on a baseball field. The visual contrast created by these cream-colored pentagons against the slate-grey background, surrounded by an electric orange minute track, is what made this watch a groundbreaker compared to the sobriety of its parent company, Rolex.
