The catalogue features rare and high-quality works that stand as a testament to the design excellence that shaped the twentieth century.

Among the highlights is a refined table lamp by Paolo Venini from 1954 (lot 51), distinguished by its precious multicoloured Ballottino Murano glass base and bearing the acid-etched signature of the renowned Venini glassworks.

Particularly noteworthy is the presence of important furnishings by Guglielmo Ulrich, one of the leading interpreters of twentieth-century Italian elegance: a rare gaming table from the 1950s with a hardstone chessboard top (lot 23), originating from a private Milanese residence, and a pair of armchairs from the 1940s featuring gilt-lacquered wooden supports (lot 18).

Also of considerable interest is the marble fireplace created by Atelier Rebechi around 1950 (lot 57), enriched with refined polychrome marble inlays that exemplify the high level of Italian craftsmanship of the period.

The lighting section includes two outstanding examples of Fontana Arte production: a rare model 1462 pendant lamp designed by Max Ingrand and Duilio Bernabè, known as Dubè (lot 61), featuring a satin-finished and reverse-painted églomisé curved crystal diffuser, and an elegant model 1815 table lamp by Max Ingrand (lot 64), coming from a private collection in Milan.

Among the most sought-after pieces is the fifteen-light candelabrum designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa (lot 69), crafted in 999 silver and produced in a limited, numbered edition by Argenteria San Lorenzo.

Special attention should also be given to the low table by Osvaldo Borsani (lot 74), distinguished by a reverse-painted coloured glass top executed by artist Roberto Crippa, an emblematic example of the dialogue between art and design that characterised the 1950s.

The sale also includes iconic creations by Gabriella Crespi, among them the celebrated Daino Champagne Holder in hand-chiselled gilt brass (lot 85).

The chronological journey concludes with an important work by Gaetano Pesce: the low table from the Nobody’s Perfect series (lot 115), a unique piece from the Miami Collection that was exhibited in the Nobody’s Perfect exhibition at the Wolfsonian-FIU Museum. Made of epoxy resin, the table represents one of the most significant expressions of the Italian designer’s experimental research.
