Importante paravento il legno di homu e porcellana policroma, Cina, dinastia Qing, epoca Jiaqing
The sale Fine Chinese Works of Art took place realizing around 6.600.000 euros with more than 50% of the 700 lots sold and doubling the initial estimate of the entire catalogue, with an extremely high foreign participation (almost 95%), 70% of which from China.

A mind-boggling figure for the top lot, an important Homu twelve-door screen with 64 polychrome porcelain plates, China, Qing Dynasty, Jiaqing Period.
We immediately understood that this important object had reached a relevant result; as soon as the auctioneer opened the sale, a voice in the salesroom offered 500.000 euros. From that moment the price rose quickly up to one million euros also thanks to the numerous phone calls and reaching the final figure after a contest between a telephone bid and internet.
2.050.000 euros, the new record for the sale of an oriental art object in Italy.

Among the other lots reaching an important figure it is worth mentioning two small bronzes sold respectively for 360.000 and 273.000 euros, a Celadon white jade ship sold for 250.000 euros and another jade representing two horses that slightly exceeded 200.000 euros.
A little bit less than 200.000 euros for a rare plate that had aroused a lot of curiosity also during the preview held in London the week before the sale and finally the lot of the cover: the Luohuan marble head which was sold for more than 160.000 euros.
