L’opera è corredata da una scheda critica della Dott.ssa Guendalina Serafinelli. “Il busto marmoreo raffigurante Cerere presenta quei tratti tipici della concezione plastica di matrice romana che si afferma nella stagione del tavolo Barocco; i rimandi stilistici alla produzione di Paolo Morelli confermano l’appartenenza al presente ambito stilistico e la datazione alla seconda metà del Seicento”
