On Wednesday, April 6, theAncient Sculpture Department presents an exclusive selection of 80 works from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century.

Next to important Renaissance and Baroque bronzes, among which stands out a refined Meditation Cross in gilded bronze and amethyst ascribable to the Grand Ducal Manufactures of Florence (Estimate: 7,000 - 10,000 euros) we find with a significant group of baroque and neoclassical marbles and objects, reinterpretations of classical antiquities, such as the bust of Sallustia Orbiana, wife of Emperor Alexander Severus (Estimate: 8,000 - 10,000 euros).

Among the top lots stand the architectural ciborium with adoring angels by Giovanni della Robbia (Estimate: 25,000 - 30,000 euros) and the figure of Saint, which in the opinion of several critics is attributed to Nino and Andrea Pisano (Estimate: 90,000 - 120,000 euros).

The auction will take place in a single session from 2:30 pm.
