Cambi Auction House presents Fine Chinese Works of Art, maison’s most prestigious live auction dedicated to Oriental art. A true journey into Imperial China, through a rich catalog with timeless appeal. On auction, multiple works in jade, coral, ceramics, wood and bronze, finely crafted and carved. 

Among the most interesting lots are precious and meticulously decorated furnishings, such as porcelain vases and bowls, large carved wooden tables, extremely rare figures and magnificent carved plaques from the Qing Dynasty, which settled in the 17th century and remained in power until the 1912 revolution.

An important selection of precious, finely carved jades, is protagonist of this appointment, ranging from White to Celadon jades. Prominent within the bronze collection is a rare figure of Vajrasattva seated on a double lotus flower in repoussé and silver, made in Tibet in the 12th-13th centuries, exhibited in 1999 at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, in 2004 at Palazzo Bricherasio in Turin, and in 2012 at the Rubin Museum of Art.

Top lots also include t the Large Huanghuali Wood Center Table, richly carved with imperial-style decoration of dragons among clouds, and the magnificent Celadon Jade Carved Plaque depicting sages in a landscape.

Mention should also be made of the Pink Family porcelain bowl decorated with flowering peonies and plant motifs, the very rare Glazed Biscuit Guardian Figure in Green Family tones, or the finely carved Large Circular Box in Pink Lacquer with floral decoration and scenes of communal life within shaped reserves.
