A precious and refined selection of furniture and furnishings designed by the most famous Italian and international designers. From Carlo Mollino to Gio Ponti, from Gaetano Pesce to Ettore Sottsass, and more lamps by Carlo Scarpa and Max Ingrand, chairs by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, and an LED table by Ingo Maurer. On Wednesday, June 14, Fine Design, the auction house's most important appointment with design returns to Cambi's Milan spaces.

Among the most prominent lots we can find a room divider by Carlo Mollino (Turin, 1905 - 1973), a cultured Italian architect, designer and photographer. This object, in which a wooden frame frames three laminate panels with screen-printed decorations of hunting scenes in the Baroque style, have been the backdrop for many of his famous Secret Photographs, personal shots that accompanied his entire artistic activity. An extraordinary piece, with certificate of authenticity Museo Casa Mollino, which has all the characteristics of his furnishings, often produced in unique pieces or in limited series, blending artisanal techniques and experimentation with materials and technologies, but which is above all a substantial part of his history as an artist (estimate 30.000-50.000 euros).

Another excellent proposal: the famous DEL DIAVOLO mirror by Ettore Sottsass, in lacquered wood and silvered glass on a marble base, a unique piece made to an original design for the 1987 edition of documenta with a decoration by Mattia Di Rosa (estimate 20.000 - 30.000 euros).

The secrétaire cabinet in wood and Ferrarese briarwood bears the signature of Gio Ponti. With enameled copper decoration and glass interior, this artwork has been produced in Italy in 1950 and has the certificate of authenticity from the Gio Ponti Archives (estimate 20.000 - 25.000 euros).

Another notable piece is the ceiling lamp model 2416, with a lacquered metal and copper frame set with thickly ground and chiseled crystals, by Max Ingrand (1908 - 1969) famous French master glassmaker and decorator, artistic director of Fontana Arte from 1954 for a decade (estimate 20. 000 - 30,000 euros), by whom a rare luminous mirror (estimate 30.000 - 40.000) and two wall sconces made of brass, shaped colored crystals, produced by Fontana Arte in 1955 (estimate 15,000 - 20,000 euros) are also presented.
