This watch was supplied to the Royal Airforce for only two years from 75 to 76 with a production limited to 250 pieces per year, making this military chronograph one of the most sought after.
Lemania was the exclusive supplier of chronograph wristwatches to the British Armed Forces between 1945 and 1970. The clocks supplied in this period were of the single button type, because with only one button there was less possibility of error in time measurement or accidental stop of the chronograph. After 1970, the Ministry of Defense modified the specifications of the chronographs to allow the use of the less expensive two-button chronograph movements, thus opening the supply of chronographs to other manufacturers.
Lemania used for this model an excellent caliber 1872 (the same movement adopted by Omega for the Speedmaster chronograph line from about 1969).
This watch is part of the first production batch of 1975 as indicated by the words 75 on the case back
