The present Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 of 1961 with the stainless steel case is equipped with crown caps, also known by the Italian nickname of "Cornino".
This rare variant of the case is only found on the Submariner and GMT produced between 1959 and 1964.
The dial, however, is the main point of this early 1960s lot and features a rare "Exclamation Point"," which refers to the addition of a bright spot under the rectangular indicator at 6 o'clock
This small detail was used by Rolex on these first dials to indicate that the radiation level had been lowered, adhering to the new Atomic Energy Agency regulations. The dials with this detail were produced only for a short period of time, which increases the rarity of the watch.
