On Thursday, Nov. 9, in a single round at 3:30 p.m., the second catalog includes a Gold Duchy of Savoy depicting on the obverse the first portrait of Charles I of Savoy known as The Warrior (1482 - 1490), and on the reverse the verse from Psalm 117:7 that reads Dominus michi adiutor: et ego despiciam (inimicos meos) (the Lord is my help: and I will despise my enemies) (Lot 1085; estimate: euro 25. 000 - 30,000).

A very rare 1717 Double of the Kingdom of Sardinia with a portrait of Victor Amadeus II of Savoy First King of Savoy (1675-80) (Lot 1102; estimate: euro 7,500 - 8,500); and an equally rare Old Half Double 1742 with Charles Emmanuel III of Savoy (1730-55) (Lot 1103; estimate: euro 6,500 - 7,500).

And again a Five Doubles 1758 Carlino of the Kingdom of Sardinia with Charles Emmanuel III of Savoy (1755- 1773), the rarest date of the carlins issued by Charles Emmanuel III, which he wanted in order to simplify and homogenize the monetary system of the time, and engraved by Lorenzo Lavy already employed at the Turin Mint since 1750, belonging to the family that gave the lineage two generations of coin and medal engravers (Lot 1106, estimate: euro 35. 000 - 40,000).

A 1786 Five Doubles Carlino of the Kingdom of Sardinia with Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia (Lot 1118, estimate: euro 30,000 - 35,000), and 5 Lire of 1901 of the Kingdom of Italy with Victor Emmanuel III of Savoy (1900-1946), the first coin bearing the effigy of the sovereign who ascended the throne on July 29, 1900. The designs and execution of the coinage were entrusted to Filippo Speranza, engraver-chief of the Rome mint, however, the sovereign, an avid numismatic enthusiast and collector, personally intervened in the choice of subject for his coins, preferring to the traditional Savoy cross, the depiction on the reverse of the eagle with spread wings. This was a short-lived coin, which was withdrawn precisely in 1901 due to the obligations of the International Convention and of which only about a hundred specimens were saved from melting (Lot 1285, estimate: euro 38,000.00 - 42,000.00).
