The Design 200 live auction returns with a new selection of furniture signed by the most important Italian and international designers. The sale, scheduled for Wednesday, 26 March 2025 in Milan, will offer a heterogeneous catalogue, with 200 design elements that narrate the history and evolution of the design world through different eras and styles.

For the lighting sector, a magnificent hanging lamp model 99.81 by Gio Ponti for Venini, designed in 1946, stands out. The metal structure and blown opaline coloured Murano glass give the object a timeless elegance, with an estimate of between €6,000 and €7,000. No less characteristic is the floor lamp model 12383 by Angelo Lelii, produced by Arredoluce in 1951, characterised by a lacquered cast iron stem and wire mesh diffusers with hammered and painted brass inserts, estimated at between €5,000 and €7,000.

For the living area, Mario Ceroli's La Rosa dei Venti table, produced by Poltronova in 1973, is a work of art in inlaid Russian pine wood, with the artist's signature engraved on it. The estimate is between €5,000 and €7,000. Afra and Tobia Scarpa are present with two sets of iconic chairs: six model 121 chairs, with a wooden frame and leather upholstery, produced by Cassina in 1965, estimated between €4,000 and €6,000; and six model Damasco chairs, produced by Maxalto around 1970, with a lacquered wooden frame and original signature, estimated between €5,000 and €7,000.

Representing international design, Peter Harvey's creations stand out, including a set composed of a table, three armchairs and three chairs, with a lacquered metal frame and crystal details, produced in England by Carmel & Sons and Somerset Smithy around 2000, with an estimate of between €4,000 and €6,000.

Iconic and unmistakable, Joe Colombo's Tube Chair, a modular armchair in lacquered ABS and skai upholstery, produced by Flexform around 1970, is estimated between €2,000 and €4,000.

The catalogue also includes a selection of outdoor furniture by Gae Aulenti, with some pieces from the historic Locus Solus series, created for Poltronova in 1967. These include two rocking chairs (estimated value Euro 2,500 - 3,500), a set composed of a table and four chairs (estimated value Euro 2,500 - 3,500), two benches with four poufs (estimated value Euro 3,000 - 5,000) and a floor lamp with methacrylate diffuser (estimated value Euro 3,000 - 5,000). Closing the outdoor selection is a set of two benches from the same series, with an estimate of between €1,500 and €2,500.

Among the furnishings for the sleeping area, a very valuable piece is the Bocca della Verità model bed by Mario Ceroli, part of the Mobili nella Valle series and produced by Poltronova in 1974. The wooden structure and engraved signature of the artist make it a highly sought-after object, with an estimate of between €3,000 and €5,000.

Finally, among the most exclusive proposals is the desk signed Silvio Berrone, produced by V.I.S. in 1957. Made of a sophisticated combination of wood, brass and Vitrex glass, with a drawer unit enriched by tempered glass details, this rare piece reaches a valuation of between €8,000 and €10,000.
