The protagonists of this not-to-be-missed event are billboards. Billboards were born in the late 1800s, and from the very beginning they grafted themselves powerfully, with their striking force and roadside syllabus format into the realities of cities. The "power" of billboards is extraordinary: they possess the gift of synthesis, poetic vein and strength in the play of colors, immediately capturing everyone's attention. Alongside the selection of posters, fun and colorful POP objects.

In particular, the poster fathers Lutrec and Cheret were the two main protagonists in France, with their refined figures conquering the walls of Paris, from the brands of fine Champagne to the iconic Moulin Rouge venue. Indeed, billboards were born to announce Operas and theatrical performances. In Italy, Officine Grafiche Ricordi were the first to introduce the production of posters, and they called upon, only the best artists of the time-Dudovich, Hohenstein, Metlicovitz, and Villa are just a few of the prominent names.

Their majesty was such that the collector's market for them arose concurrently with their creation, in fact today's finding of billboards occurs thanks to the preservation foresight of such figures who, chased in some cases, "the stickers" to get the posters before the wall drafting stage in the streets.

Among the posters of particular note in the auction is the Portofino Kulm (lot 38), a rare 1905 lithographic poster. Whipped by the wind, a group of tourists admire and scrutinize raptly the panorama that the poster celebrates as the most beautiful in the world: that which embraces the gulf from the Portofino Kulm at a glance. Unlike contemporary affiches depicting the Grand Hotel, Cappiello, steps out of the gardens, the salons, every enclosed space to magnify the dizzying beauty of the landscape, combining natural attractions with the elegance of the characters with unparalleled grace. In the foreground is a dream: that Mediterranean paradise made of sun, sea and light, longed for by all travelers from the North.
