Anna Makarenko, a renowned collector of Russian art and former museum worker in Kharkiv, Ukraine, added this painting to her substantial art collection. After Anna's death in 1982, her daughter, Nina Makarenko, inherited her art collection and later relocated it to Ukraine.In 2015, Nina transferred this and other pieces from her mother's collection to her daughter, who has been residing in the United States since 2005.
