Great grandson of the architect Piero Portaluppi and son of Piero Castellini Baldissera, Nicolò Castellini Baldissera with his collection is the protagonist of the first House Sale 2022 of Cambi Casa d'Aste.

ECLECTICA tells the story of Nicolò Castellini Baldissera, a descendant of an illustrious dynasty of Italian design, who grew up surrounded by art and beauty between Milan, London and Tangier, cities that deeply inspired his projects.
"Coming from a family of architects and collectors - says Nicolò Castellini Baldissera - from an early age I learned to appreciate the beauty of objects. As a collector, however, I must keep the change alive: things come and go. I am proud of this collection because it represents a magnificent chapter of my life".

The catalogue, consisting of 142 lots, includes refined design objects and works of art, collected in his beautiful home in Via Montebello 24 in Milan, where you can admire them by appointment.

In the section dedicated to design stands out the name of Gio Ponti, with his candlestick model Flèche (Estimate 800 - 1.200 €) and the drawing on paper entitled The conqueror of breasts (estimate 3.000 - 5.000 €), but also Piero Fornasetti with his Trumeau model Architecture (estimate 20.000 - 25.000 €).

Large space occupies modern and contemporary art, with works by the likes of Francis Picabia with Composition dada (estimated 6,000 - 8,000 €), Amedeo Modigliani with the Portrait of Ekings (estimated 15,000 - 20,000) and Andy Warhol with the drawing Putting a male a needle in arm, last exhibited in 2013 at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen and registered at the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts (estimated at 20,000 - 30,000 €).

The lots will be visible to the public at the residence of Nicolò Castellini Baldissera, in via Montebello 24, on June 24 and 25, and July 1 and 2, from 10 am to 12 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm, by appointment writing to eclectica@cambiaste.com.
