On Thursday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m., the Sculpture and Art Objects auction will present 140 lots including a marble sculpture representing a reclining figure of a gentlewoman with book and scroll, a typical example of a world of female figures inspired by ancient myth or literature (estimate: €6,000 - €7,000), a Mannerist-era bronze allegory of faith from the ambit of Titian Aspetti (estimate: €7,000 - €8. 000), a plaque depicting a saint in gilded copper and champlevè enamels (estimate: €8,000 - €10,000), three marbles depicting the Madonna, Ecce Homo and Christ Mocked (estimate: €9,000 - €12. 000), a casket inspired by medieval reliquaries, but made in the 19th century, in wood and embossed metal (estimate: €10,000 - €15,000), and a fine terracotta bust of St. John the Baptist from the Benedetto da Rovezzano area (estimate: €12,000 - €18,000).
